The area is fun to explore up to the reservoirs and if you take the time to drive toward the San Rafael Swell you'll find a few amazing spots with petroglyphs. The campground itself is ok, the spots are very hit or miss if they are private or have places to put a tent so be sure to do your research. The river that runs by the campground is lovely and they do have electricity at the pavilion and drinkable running water which is great!

I absolutely love this place! Not too far away but far enough to be peaceful. Clean well kept

The bathrooms were pretty clean, but yes i seen a snake down by the river, but they're suppose to be there!

Stopped by to check this campground out for an upcoming event. Looks wonderful. Good shade for every camp site.

You cannot canoe in the river. But the fishing in the river is great. Huntington State Park is about a 15 to 20-minute drive from Bear Creek Campground great spot for canoeing there are other reservoirs farther up the canyon also.
