Very unprofessional! The rude women have no concept of time or patience. They always close 15 minutes before 5pm an have horrible attitudes! They should be retrained or hire new staff!

The water bills are suspect, the first high bill was 2 years ago in the amount of $1,600 was told that there was a leak but maintenance showed that it wasn't but the village refused to resolve the issue and I was forced to pay or else be shut off. Second high bill in the amount of $500 for a 3 bedroom with only 1 occupant is now past due on November 26, 2020, the village said again that there's a leak and that water was everywhere underneath the home and that nothing is wrong with the meter when I questioned about it working properly. I contacted maintenance again and they sent a contractor out who went underneath the home and it's dry, not a drop of water and NO LEAK as what I were told by the village. I looked for myself as well and have pictures to prove that there's no leak. It appears that the village of dolton is robbing the people blind with unexplained very high water bills every couple of years and they refuse to address the issue.

I've had wonderful experiences with Dolton's Public Works Department and have even said so at a couple of community meetings. When I've called about grass needed to be cut in front of an unoccupied house or on a main thoroughfare, they have quickly - within a week or two - obliged the request. Once I informed them of a large pothole on the corner of Sibley and Meadowlane. A department representative called me back within a week and said since the hole is on Sibley which is a state road the state was in charge of fixing it. She said she called the correct department and informed them, within a week's time after that the huge pothole was filled! I've also not had any problems, as of late, with the Water Department. There were discrepancies years ago, but once I started recording the water readings and the dates I drop them off or if it was taken by a worker, I've not had any more problems. Persons can get a water meter that can be read outside the home if they wish, if not just insure you have your documentation to compare with Village records is best.

Very poorly ran community. Water is being shut off for a unpaid bill in 2018. It’s 2020 and several water bills have been issued since and paid in full with no balance. Dolton is a very shady community and I can not wait to leave

What if you owe a old water bill from 10 years ago. Do it go away?

No I wouldn’t move here. They tack on whatever water bill the previous owner had and push it on the new owner
