Hi Eddie, give U.S. a call ASAP and have an advisor come out to assess the situation so they can let you know which way is best for them. May be perfect timing now that you have the sidewalk out.
You should test them by pouring water either by bucket or hose twice a year. I'm not sure about "at least" ten years but as long as it keeps working every test it should be fine
