Helpful staff and great selection. Lots of great places to sit and read. Great community programs too. Even though it’s a small town, I love to look out the big windows at the skyline. Great spot for a library.

You can go to the Kankakee Public Library 1st floor. You will need to provide a current ID or driver license with an address within the Kankakee City Limits and a piece of mail (bill statements or paystubs,etc.). If you do not possess a current ID you can provide two pieces of mail with the current address. Hope this answers your question. G. Adams Kankakee Public Library Trustee/Secretary
Hi. Cricut Basics meets tonight at 4, April 10, April 23, and May 9. Yes to the Cricut Air. Hope to see you there. They are stand alone classes. Kind of like a little support group of Cricut users. Learn tips and tricks from those who have been using it for awhile. It is suggested that you bring your own if you want to make some items.
Thanks for checking. There is a lot for the library and there are additional spots in the Farmers' Market lot which is located directly south of the building.
Proof u live in the area and as far as how many movies I am not sure .
Yes, on the second and fourth Tuesday at 10am.
You will need your state ID. If it has your current address then you need one additional item to prove your residency. It has to be something official like a utility bill. If your ID still has your old address you will need to bring in two items to prove residency. Hope to see you soon.
While computers can be reserved by calling they day the you need them we find it's not necessary. We have plenty of adult computers available. All have a two hour time limit for the day. Call us at 815-939-4564 if you have any other questions.
