So, I want to be VERY clear, I am NOT a Veteran! However, I live with one who served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan (2004 - 2008) and was once LUCKY enough to visit this fine establishment. Wow! What an amazing experience! The staff that works here are so kind, polite, diligent, well-trained, respectful, and beyond helpful. Even to silly civilians like me! Thank you so much for all the years of service, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. You have touched more than just one soldier's life. Thank you!

J. B. V. A. Receptiones are rude, to me due to long light hair and beard. Treat me like a outlaw! Yes! Go sit down, don't even pretend to like they job? I'm available to be there, in 48hrs. Experienced, in dealing with ALL!

I am back in hopes of SOMEONE correcting the situation which is the disgusting, deplorable, unprofessional, terrible, bad, demeaning, inferior, malicious, rude, and non -trained care at Jesse Brown Medical Center. I use the term “care” loosely because the only thing they care about is themselves. Veterans are Guinea pigs so the students can go be doctors at real hospitals. Why I continually ask? I ended up contacting the joint commissions which I found online. The so called doctors and so called care are as valuable and real as a $3 bill. What is it going to take? Again, I only gave 1 stars because that is the lowest to be able to post I am embarrassed to be a veteran if that’s the care we get! The best summarization is the alleged doctors at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center wouldn’t know their -SS from a whole in the ground!

Depends on what's in stock when you walk in. The Army caps go the quickest but I seem to see Marine caps a lot when I visit.
Yes the va will serve you for up to five years after your eaos. If you have a va rated disability they will treat that condition always
Yes. If you have an appointment and get your parking ticket validated, there is free parking in a multi-story garage. If you have an appointment, they even offer valet parking.
Jesse Brown was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served as United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1997
Call your primary doctor and notify your person whom you have an appointment with
Pre - operative physical examination. Performed upon request of a surgeon, includes physical examination, Cardiac evaluation. Lung function assessment, and appropriate laboratory tests. I hope that was helpful.
DD214 & current ID to register for Jesse Brown to become your primary VA & get a VA ID card.
Yes they do.
Yes
There is housing for veterans at Hines VA hospital on Roosevelt road next to layola hospital
They should. Usajobs.gov
Yes just go to admitting and they Can direct you to the proper services
I don't know you have to call them
Yes, Jesse Brown VA does have a very nice commissary.
Yes for employees and veterans only
yes veterans can receive booster on in the damen building 2nd floor
You should call and ask them
Yes, after 11am
You can go to the facility and ask for assistance in preparation for your Father's arrival. Make sure you have his information: social security number, full name when he was active and if you have a copy of his DD 214. The people at the desk will assist you. If he is already receiving services in Texas, you can ask them to transfer and establish the new doctor relationships before he arrives so he doesn't miss any appointments or follow ups.
I beleive the staff arrives by 0800.....
Starting next week they will start contacting veterans who they will select that will be getting the vaccinations first mostly people who are more vulnerable with underlining health issues
Yes always go to USAJOBS. GOV SEARCH BOXES INPUT JESSE BROWN, CHICAGO, IL
Yes he will need to register that requires his military discharge papers. Once that's done he can see a doctor.
I believe you are eligible for service from the VA but it's always best to either call or go and talk to someone in person
Only if you have previously made arrangements with the hospital and have been cleared to recieve transportation
Sorry no
I don't know, but you are looking at almost two hours drive
Sorry I don't have any idea about that. But you can call Jesse Brown and ask them about it. 312-569-8387
No. Most of the streets are either no parking or metered parking. There is a parking garage on the VA premises. Parking is free for vets with an appointment. Free valet parking is available during normal clinic hours as well.
You probably still can get it taken care of, if it's an emergency they will take care of you Andrew
Call jesse brown and ask for transportation
You would have to call or ask your doctor about that
Dale Ellis are you a veteran by chance and if so, do you also draw disability from the v.a., it would be helpful for you
It depends when you go. They have a nurse to check you to see if you go to urgent care or the emergency room.
Stand down
Yes any time, for free if you are a veteran.
Yes that is correct
Ok. Do you know what I will need
There are many within the va system in this area, however as a vet that has had heart problems for many years now and has had a pacemaker with a defibrillator implanted along with 3 cardiac stents I can honestly say that I can advise you to either go to the Milwaukee va hospital or seek out a civilian caregiver Loyola university medical center on roosevelt next to Hines va hospital and Lutheran general on Dempster road are the best in this area. If you are a veteran and want to be actually cared for then ask about the veterans choice program. I wish you all the best and please think twice about the veterans Choice program.
You would have access to personal information if you are his guardian.
Taylor side at Jessie Brown I think 5th floor records
Yes
I would have to say yes, considering the wait time for example just for a Veteran to get his/her blood drawn. Even longer to get the results, they are complaining there are not enough people to get the job done, I would suggest you contact their Human resource dept.
Westside VA
Only if you are a veteran on a scheduled appointment otherwise it is per hour
They have a homeless program there If you are. I hear it's best to talk to one of their counslers.or hud-vast on the 8th floor.
I believe it does.
They have a volunteer program, call for information
