Bill was thorough and professional. I had hired him for a private class and he was the only person in Austin that both for the private class and the LTC he would take the time with us. Both classes ( weren't timed ) My sister and I had tons of questions and he was patient. I feel more confident with guns and appreciate that I can call him anytime. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

My wife and I had the privilege of having a private (LTC) lesson from Bill and it was AWESOME. Bill's knowledge of the gun laws, firearms, his teaching style and overall fantastic demeanor was more than we expected. This is a good man, who will answer your questions and give you confidence in all the aspects of handling a firearm. Just can't say enough positive things about our experience with Bill.

I chose Bill Agnell after researching many reviews of L.T.C. websites on the web. Glad I did! I hired Bill to come to my home for a personal class & it was well worth the cost. Bill covered the material in the book he provided at a pace where I understood everything & would even occasionally pause to ask me if I had any questions. Hi selection of a range for the shooting part of the exam was in my opinion the best around. His explanation & commands at the range put me at ease the entire time we were there. He also has a great knowledge of firearms too! I would definitely recommend Bill to anyone wanting to get their L.T.C. license.

If there are no listed classes on the site, you might look into taking one of there in home classes.

At the completion, am I licensed, or do I have to then file with the state for an additional fee?

You have to file, get fingerprinted, pass FBI background check, the course its just a part of the process, but its all done in about 3 weeks. It can all be done online.

Do you need to have your own gun to go to training?

No you do not have to have your own gun. I rent various calibers of handguns and 50 rounds of ammunition for $25.00.
