If i could put 0 stars i would. I had to re-home my dog due to many reasons. 1. Our apartment is too small for a pitbull/lab mix. 2. he had no space to go outside and run. 3. we were given to him as a gift. Instead of making that poor pup suffer, I wanted to re-home him. I called my local shelter and the guy that answered was completely rude. He had the biggest attitude and made me feel extremely bad about the decision I was making after many months of me over-thinking it. I did not feel good about leaving my pup. It was merely out of necessity and I cannot afford to give him the yard that a big dog needs. I believe the person who answers the phone needs to be 100X less judge mental. They do not know the whole story. I did not take my dog there due to feeling judged. I did not want my dog to be treated with cruel behavior.

Yes, you can and yes they need the help! Thank You!!!
After speaking with the officer in charge, I was told that this shelter has not euthanized an animal in 8 years. They go above and beyond to avoid having to put down an animal and exhaustively work to place an animal with the most appropriate family possible
It is the pound for Maryville. Maryville Police Department Animal Control. They bring in and keep animals. It is not a veterinarian clinic. Simultaneously it operates as the city impound. I don't think it operates as an auto shop/mechanic either. Unless google got me mixed up with locations.
Yes, I will be there between 430 and 5. I volunteer there. Please bring to 426 home ave :) state the donations is meant for MAARC
I think they do now.
Last I was there sat they didnt have any pugs. Try a pug rescue online.
I'm not aware of the shelter allowing people other than trained volunteers to interact with the animals in the shelter. I do commend you for encouraging our special needs and elderly loved ones to pursue activities outside the home.
There are no bunnies at the shelter now, sorry.
U can volunteer at 14 w a parent present, at 16 by yourself.
No, they don't do that. Like Carol Low said, Pee Paws in Greenback is the best place to go for this! They are all very compassionate towards animals and they sincerely care about what they do there. They base payment off of your income on a sliding scale. You may need to call them to make an appointment.
