My kids & I discovered this park in the fall of 2020. When I asked them what they wanted to do when we traveled Up North (from St. Louis), this was literally the first thing on their list.

Really cool playground here. Not too many made mostly out of wood that you see anymore; here's hoping this doesn't get torn down for a long while (and when it eventually is, that it's replaced by something similar).

This is an excellent Park to wear out your kiddos. I highly suggest parents go down one of the big slides and have a little fun too. There are great spots to have a picnic and a little bit of sand for a beach area. Dogs are not welcome but it is the perfect place to take the kids. Be mindful on Sandy days as it does kick up the sand from the beach and make some areas of the park unusable because you'll be sand blasted the whole time. This is the first place I always take people with kids when they come up to visit.

Great park with huge climbing structure and slides. Rental kayaks. Swings. Picnic tables. Now with a new play structure area for smaller children.

The only time i believe they don't have a real problem with it is during bridgefest.. where there are vendors that do serve seafood and beer.. On a daily thought i would say no alcohol just like the others have stated
