Yeah, it's good. Brussel sprouts, bubble and squeak (potato pancakes), beef on weck sandwich, and Sheppard's pie. All good quality. Roast beef had a great flavor all on its own.

5 of us dined here last night and we really enjoyed it. We shared a plate of the Bubble and Squeak and only wished it was bigger! For meals, we had Bangers & Mash, Fish & Chips and the Braised Short Ribs. All were excellent. I personally had the short ribs and was really pleased with the large cut and how lean it was. The mashed potatoes are sublime. We also shared some desserts but the Banana Creme pie was the favorite. Our server was great as well. All in all a wonderful night and definitely someplace we will return to.

New Year, new journeys to find extraordinary eats! OK, so, discovered this place all thanks to watching Guy Fieri last night on TV where he was visiting an English pub in DE and reading what one reviewer wrote that she was heading back to the BEST PUB, the Whip Tavern, in Coatesville, PA. Beautiful sunny Sunday to take a 97 mile country drive to see what Chef Tim’s specials were and discover this olde world English pub. The country charm of cozy interior was super inviting and welcoming. Almost immediately, a young man showed us to a back wall table and then CHERYL, our server, showed up with a huge smile, full of good energy, she provided us great, efficient service from beer to dessert. As we often do, we ordered a few dishes: the Shrimp & Grits (100% better than Hyman’s in Charleston) where the sauce was the gold, perfectly cooked fresh shrimp, yummy grits (a tad too salty but then I HATE salt!) The tender braised short ribs, mashed potatoes and collards with sautéed onions, ALL prepared well. The fried COD portion was breaded and fried to perfect golden crunchy crispness, with “CHIPS” (wide steak fries) and a side order of smashed peas in a ramekin. Since the beef tenderloin SPECIAL was not ready until 4pm, we ordered it takeout along with the FARM BURGER. These Monday treats were equally superb. It delights me to know that owner spends time in their own establishments and interact while working alongside the staff. And this whole dining experience made me happy with each dish, the presentation, ingredients and taste. Oh, and that warm sphere of MEDJOOL FIGGY PUDDING cake surrounded with Toffee sauce was the big splurge. Absolutely delightful and delicious. Can’t wait to return and dine creek side! 😋

I have been wanting to come here forever! The food is absolutely fantastic and the beer menu has lots of stuff for everyone! I would recommend the Shepard's pie and mushroom risotto. They have a lot of IPAs on tap and on site, as well as numerous ciders and even a couple sours! Had a wonderful dinner here!

The Whip has excellent safety precautions. They take reservations only and everyone was sitting well apart.
It is casual dress. It feels like an English pub setting.
I would suggest you contact the restaurant directly.
We waited 10 minutes on a Monday afternoon. Whatever your wait time is it will be well worth it!
The Whip will be open from 11AM - 6PM serving from the lunch menu only during those hours.
You'd need to check their website, or if not available there, then give them a call. They've been in business for some time. They're not a newby! Good luck!
