According to Florida Statute 83.53, renters must be notified at least 12 hours in advance before entry of the unit in a non-emergency situation. On May 27, 2022, The Next gave less than an hour’s notice, stating, “We will be walking all units for inspections today. We apologize for the delayed notice.” I suppose the inconsiderate, short-notice, statute-violation day of spontaneous inspection wasn’t quite enough, though, because one week later, The Next notified residents that they’d be doing “property walks during the next few weeks.” It’s July 1, now, and I don’t even know if they’re done with these inspections, nor do I even know what they were inspecting. I’m tired of living somewhere where I, essentially, never have privacy, and I cannot wait to move out at the end of this month. Someone can just walk into my apartment at any time? That should be illegal… Oh, wait, it is. They just don’t care. (And the framed proof of elevator safety inspection was over a year expired until they finally updated it last year.)

The Next has the worst cockroach infestation I have ever seen. That is enough to bring its rating down to one star, because who wants to pay and move their stuff into an apartment that has cockroaches everywhere, and I mean literally everywhere. The worst part is that they say they are exterminating, yet the roaches remain here every week DESPITE concealing our food and keeping the unit clean. This means that they are deeply infiltrated in the walls of the complex and this makes them a permanent presence unless management does an extreme extermination. I would suggest living somewhere else or subleasing anywhere else. Sorry

I am a current resident here and this place is ABSOLUTELY AWFU! Last night they maliciously had my vehicle towed because my lease is 1 month from being over and I haven't wanted renew my lease. Their justification was that my parking decal was expired, but they never told me I needed a new decal. According to the guy they pay to towed people's cars, my decal expired January 1, 2022, but we're in May 2022. So why is it a problem now!? Now I have to pay out of my pocket to get my vehicle back. I will be suing them for this and it be made known public. I am in the office currently and the guy working the front desk is refusing to assist me. He made a very rude comment that "He wouldn't like to work on a Saturday, but is here anyways" when I expressed that if the manager was going to force me to pay to get truck back then I want the cost deducted from my rent and the vehicle returned to the Next.

Maria is beyond great. She was instrumental in helping us get everything settled and set up. If The Next continues to hire people like her, then they would surely sit at the top of apartment and guest experience. I cannot say enough good things about our interaction with her. Class act… A+

DJ, We do our best to match roommates based on the questionnaires they fill out. If you are experiencing issues, we have a transfer policy. Stop by the office to discuss your options. -I.Smith, Community Manager
The model room they show you before move in, its furnished much nicer than what you will get when you move in. Move in includes a sofa, end table and tv stand in the living room. thats it. No Tv, no decorations, its just basic Ikea type furniture thats old and beat up. matching style furnishings in the bedroom, with horrible mattresses that you have to keep in your room if you want to upgrade. What you see on the site and marketing, is not what you get. You have been warned.
DJ, There are caps on the utilities that are very reasonable. The highest a bill has gone over so far is $9.00 for the unit. Yes, the utilities are still included.
