I was in a hurry to get my eyebrows microbladed as they were a little uneven. I didn’t know much about the procedure and saw a couple videos of Mary’s microblading. I decided to go with her because I thought the other microblading artist that was recommended to me was too far and expensive (800). First appointment I had to wait a long time because receptionists didn’t put numbing cream on me. Abs then comes the question - why would a receptionist be putting numbing cream on me anyway? Isn’t this the job of the microblading person? Anyway, got it done and touched up. They are too dark, now turning purple (almost one year) and they DO NOT LOOK NATURAL AT ALL. The hair strands are much thicker than my original eyebrow strands. Also Mary made me sign a lot of disclaimers where you basically can’t complain about the results so I could have the procedure done. When she was touching up, I asked her to fix something and her answer was - eyebrows are not twins! I paid 700 dollars for something that looks unnatural, unprofessional compared to other artist’s work. Several people - friends and other microblading artists told me what she did is not even microblading 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ and it was poorly done. They all said she lacks proper training. Please do your research!!! The ink she put on me never faded and I’ll probably have to remove it with laser. If you need it done, please go to lucianasmakeup. Check her work on IG, and for 100 dollars more, she makes your eyebrows look very natural and professionally done. Update on 05/23/2022 I did my first session of laser to remove my microblading. I went to Aloria Skincare in West Bloomfield. The removal is very painful. After the removal, Yvonne, the owner of the spa who did the removal for me said that my eyebrows were not microbladed but tattooed and the pigment would never come off/fade naturally as it should because the person who did my microblading did not use microblading ink. After a very PAINFUL process, my skin is orange. The ink used on my microblading had iron in it and with the removal, it oxidized!!! I was told this will not come off naturally. I will most likely have to do another laser session. Please do your research before you get your eyebrows done. Lessons learned - never go with someone who boasts about their work! They promise something they can’t deliver!!! I paid 575 for my eyebrows, gave 100 tip and now spent 200 dollars for the removal. This review is solely with the intent of warning people considering microblading to avoid making the mistake I made.
