This company has some of the worse customer service I have dealt with. My sister and I ordered this for our 80 year old father several years ago as he was living alone and still ambulatory. He has dementia now and has not been mobile for over a year. I moved him to my house in 2020 and had to cancel everything including credit cards since they would not allow us to help him. This medical alert company claims that we are auto renew, and we owe for the past year even though we received no notice until recently with a past due amount of $700 and the card has been canceled for over a year. When I contacted them they said they could not terminate until I shipped back and waited 2 weeks. 2 weeks passed and I called, and the tracking number said they received it 3 days after I shipped, but it was not in their system 2 weeks later so they could not terminate until it was in their system, I would need to keep checking back?? It is hard enough to be a care taker without a company that claims to be help making it worse!!!!!

If your loved one dies and you need to cancel or if you have to cancel for any other reason they will tell you they need mail you a shipping label which you might not ever receive and if you do not receive it you have to call and insist on getting it emailed to you- once you send back the equipment they tell you to wait ten days from the date you shipped it back meanwhile they are still billing you until they say they received the equipment back. They are taking advantage of the situation and trying to get as much money out of you as they possibly can. I would recommend absolutely any other medical alert company over this one,

I cannot in good faith recommend Connect America Medical Alert to anyone. The company misrepresents their product. The app does not work properly, putting our loved one at great risk. I've been trying for more than 9 months to get the company to work with me to correct the problem. Nothing has worked to date. Connect America does not value customers nor is safety and full transparency important to them. I strong urge you NOT to consider Medical Alert for your medical alert system of choice. Put your loved ones safety first not gimmick advertising!!

This company has the worst customer service. I ordered their devices for my 87yo mother in 2020. I paid for them. My mother refused to use the bracelet and necklace. They were returned. I provided numerous staff with the UPS tracking number. They finally confirmed the Medical Alert devices were received. Some eager salesman called my mother and convinced her she needed them. She's had 2 strokes and doesn't have all of her cognitive abilities. He sent her another set of Medical Alert devices. This was without my knowledge. I have been hounded with phone calls and mail since 2020 by Connect America staff.The 2nd set was also returned. I refuse to pay for something that I did not order in the first place. My elderly mother was taken advantage of and I consider this financial abuse. Don't use this company!
