UPDATE on last update: I WAS excited to start phase 2 , and then told I needed to wait 2 weeks. Then told 4 weeks. Now 5 weeks later they seemed surprised to hear from me when I checked in inquiring about when I would be able to start. I never received a clear answer or timeline. So here I am waiting …. again. Very disappointed. I was interested in a couple jobs at the job fair they hosted ( which was great , and I’m grateful for that opportunity) however, I needed the specific resume help phase 2 would offer me in order to apply. Not generic resume help - very specific tailored help - and it was heartbreaking to see those job posting expire. Yes, I could have applied on my own, but made the choice not to over concern that sending in a “not good enough“ resume could ruin my chance for possible future job openings within same companies. I will update again as things progress. My goal is to give you, the reader, an honest authentic , detailed review. :-) Stay tuned! UPDATE - The communication concern has improved 100% and I am excited to begin Phase 2 of the coaching program. Definitely worth a try if you are needing more income or a career change or need help with the entire job search process. They can offer guidance - but of course, you need to put in the work and be engaged. My frustration comes from my experience that they are a bit disorganized. I feel i’m constantly needing to call them and remind them when they drop the ball with me. This program has the potential to be so much better though , and I hope it can get there.

I work at People Helping People as the Program Coordinator. I love my job, peers, and the leadership of this organization. I truly see the impact that our free services have on helping women improve their earning potential, to break the cycle of poverty within their own families. PHP offers one on one coaching, mentoring, and facilitates Education workshops. This nonprofit is a huge asset for those looking to build their professional network and gain confidence while navigating the challenges and uncertainties of the job seeking process. People Helping People is best fit for any person who identifies as a woman seeking services to find a job, get a better one, and gain access to a long-term relationship that supports their career journey.

My favorite part, so far, is having professionals in the field of recruiting go over our employment history with us. Their perspective and take on things has been priceless. When I shared with one of the mentors what I experience while painting, he whipped up this zinger of a relatable skill that works beautifully in the workplace, I was in awe. I totally am charged up for the next portion of the program.

Call 211 and they will direct her to all the places to help with her needs. Catholic Community Services can also help.

Hi, how do you qualify for help.I recently moved here 2years ago and having a hard time finding housing that is pet friendly and affordable. Thank you

There are no qualifications you must meet - anyone is welcome. We help people - primarily single mothers attain better jobs to pull them and their families out of poverty. Im not sure how much help they can be in the apartment search, but it doesn't hurt to call!
