Great food and drinks, and live music. The place was packed but our server was still very attentive.

Be prepared for a 25% mandatory tip, as well as the $4 per person mandatory music fee. Plus the bill has a line for an additional tip in case you didn’t notice the 25% tip in the dark environment. The place is funky but not that great. The owner/ management is taking advantage of the customers.

Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, amazing food. Decently priced. A very fun place I will certainly return to. On nights with live music, they charge $4 per person. An automatic 25% gratuity is added to the bill. I'm alright with that, but be aware.

The band was delightful and Jon made our experience even better! Definitely book a spot to listen to jazz and enjoy some great drinks and tapas.

It's not necessarily cheap - appetizers are generally under $10, small plates are $10 to $20, and main courses are around $20 and up. Drinks, which are amazing and unique creations, can easily run $10 and higher. If you're careful, you can enjoy the super-fun experience and probably get out for under $50, and it's well worth it. There is nowhere else in the area like it!
I was there a couple weeks ago and they were just doing small plates at the time. It kinda makes sense because of covid and them not getting full capacity. It saves on food waste. There were some plates I felt that were vegetarian in nature.
Masks required upon entry, also anytime you get up from your table. No bar seating. Hand sanitizer at host stand as well.
Millennials, Xennials...with a sprinkling of boomers

Yes, its SpeakEasy style may not resonate with kids, and you have to be comfortable with their bar. Quaint and stylish.
Books are used for menus. Take a moment to read while waiting for your meal.
Smart casual or nicer. You wouldn’t be out of place in nice jeans and button down, but you’d also be fine in a suit.
Directly across the street from the entrance is the best place I found
They are following covid protocols to a tee! All of the staff I witnessed...including the musicians all were wearing masks and cleaning very well after patrons left before seasons the next group.
Was there 2 weeks ago they had a live 3 peice band and it was pretty busy all tables were full there menu and cocktails are a bit limited the hostess told us they just opened up again...
It was named “The Grotto”!
You can find their menus on their website @ www.bookstorespeakeasy.com/dinner
