We've been attending classes here over the past couple of months and have learned an incredible amount! Great trainings and info on how to help children in tramatic experiences. Photos I shared are slides from some trainings.

Liz is an awesome trainer. I wish I took theses classes before I became a mother of my biological children. Her classes should be mandatory before you can take your first baby home from the hospital. Great job, Liz! Thank you for making me a better person.

Questions & Answers

It has been posted on Facebook that kids need luggage to take to foster homes. Is this true? If you do need luggage I have 2 nice carry one size bags I'd like to donate.

Many kids in care end up moving between placements with their clothes in garbage bags. It would be a good idea to reach out via phone to Utah Foster or the Christmas Box House to find out whether they or another organization in the area accept luggage donations.

I am the Director for Smart Kids learning center in West Jordan. I am aware of a situation where a foster child is with a family where the parents were married and have now been separated for months. Many rules have been broken and I am concerned.

Thanks for the heads up Jill. We recommend calling Utah Foster Care or DCFS to report any concerns you might have and the social worker will look into it.
