We have tried many programs for our son Brayden J. Many of which he never progressed, did the same thing over and over for months. Here he's on his 3rd belt and has learned so much we love all the instructors here too.

A great school, my son loves it here. In such little time Ayaan has learned so much. The teachers are great you can tell they care about each individual and they work hard with each student. I am so glad I found these guys.

My daughter has been attending Pursuit of Mastery for a year. I am very impressed with the quality of instruction. The teachers are intuitive with really seeing each student and what they’re doing wrong and why, breaking it down in small steps, helping them practice it thoroughly, and teaching when and how they’ll use the skill in a potential real situation. The teachers are calm and kind, yet they hold the students to their expectations and the students’ abilities.

This place is great for kids! The instructors are patient and helpful and genuinely care about kids ability to master good fighting basics, gain confidence, and build character. My 5-year-old son loves it here. I will say that I am the product of strict "old school" Tae Kwon Do discipline and this place does not adhere to those practices (very few places do anymore because of a combination of insurance reasons and just desiring high student retention). I tell my son it's up to him to pursue his own excellence anyway. But this place definitely gives him the tools to learn that discipline in a fun way. A long time ago, in traditional martial arts, dojos demanded militant adherence to exhausting workouts and precision technique. It was physically, mentally, and emotional demanding, and student burnout would be much higher these days. PoM has a nice balance, especially for new students, to keep them moving and motivated. I prefer more rigorous workouts, demands for competition-level excellence in precision, and a street-ready mix of traditional TKD and other arts, but here the upper belt classes do have some very skilled students. My son who has never trained before absolutely loves it! And I think as he advances, the regimen and demand should increase, and prepare him for the school we go to. PoM is expensive but it's worth it for us because they're perfect for his enthusiasm and lack of discipline, and they still push him. To be fair, I don't think PoM classifies themselves as a "Tae Kwon Do" school, so the structure is different and more relaxed, so he will eventually learn a nice variation of TKD and new basics of other arts. I highly recommend this place to anyone with kids who want to learn good basic fighting techniques, gain confidence, stay active, and build character! It's a fun, respectful, and safe environment for the little ones!
