Ever since this hotel opened, I’ve stayed here once per year (minus last year, more on that later). Each time I come, this hotel gets better and better! Last year, I stayed at the Microtel in Penn Yan and found that the room was infested with bugs and the room wasn’t cleaned prior to check in (we needed two rooms because if filthiness). The Best Western ALWAYS gets it right. Rooms are always clean. The front desk staff is so friendly here—Nigel at the front desk really made our stay enjoyable from the moment we checked in. This hotel is the best place to stay if visiting Penn Yan… actually, the whole finger lakes region. From Penn Yan, you can travel to Watkins Glenn, Elmira, Auburn, Canandaigua, Rochester, Syracuse, and Buffalo for day trips. Penn Yan has this charm , not only because it’s the center of everything, but because of its fun downtown and wonderful country side, which you cannot experience in any other part of the state. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and it gets better every time. Highly recommend!

The room was clean the staff was pleasant and they offered everything that they said they would. Breakfast was available and it was a good variety of hot and cold items. As a rewards member, I even got a bag of refreshments when I arrived. I had to leave a day earlier than I had planned and the staff was so accommodating. If I visit the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

Our first stay at a Best Western marks also possibly the best experience at a hotel in the last 2-3 years. Especially in the post pandemic era, the property goes far and beyond the expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The room was spacious and had all the amenities provided. The location was good too - safe, quiet and yet very close to food, gas and anything of need (practically walking distance) Special shout out for the breakfast - The best breakfast spread - in terms of variety, cleanliness and taste - in the post pandemic era. When hotels are shying away and giving the packaged cold pick-n-go breakfast, it was very heartening to see a full breakfast while adhering to the health norms. Loved the Pancake maker - that was new!
