I’ve been a AH member for 25 years or more. And for the most part no complaints. Until now! American Heritage IS NOT PET FRIENDLY! And not only are they NOT PET FRIENDLY, they fail to post entrance signs saying “Dogs Are Not Welcome”. I walked about 10 blocks to visit the 21st and Market street branch with my two pets and was halfway through a 3 minute transaction when an unkemptly dressed staff person approached me and said my dogs are not allowed in here, and that I must leave immediately. I said I wasn’t aware as most places are pet friendly, no notice is posted, and asked if I can complete my transaction, about another minute to print out the check. He flatly refused. Said no. And ask the clerk to cancel my transaction. Of course, while Mr. Unkempt was telling me to vacate, my dogs were still just laying quietly as they were before he approached. No threat. No noise. No interest in the people walking by. And he couldn’t allow me another 45 seconds to print out a check. That’s what I consider VERY POOR, ONE STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! If you don’t want dogs in your place, post signs at the door. How rude and inconsiderate to accost me in the middle of a transaction for a policy I had no idea existed. Be forewarned: American Heritage Credit Union does not like dogs and will kick you out if you attempt to enter with a pet. I’ll certainly be using Freedom Credit Union more often at 24th and Fairmont. They LOVE DOGS!! And Citizens Bank show their love for pets so much, my dogs start jumping for joy just to walk in a Citizen’s bank. Citizen’s keep dog treats handy. The branch at 15th and spring garden even as a wall with about 25 photos of customers with their pets, including my own. Hey AH, if you don’t like pets, why don’t you post a sign on the front door that says DOGS NOT WELCOME!? Instead of being rude and inconsiderate. I will be paying off my line of credit with AH, and afterwards try to avoid using them as little as possible. If you do t like my fur babies, I do t like you!

At this branch the people were very nice! They greet you when you come in and they ask right away what they can help you with. I came in to handle multiple things and they were very prompt with handling these things in a timely manner so the wait was minimal. It’s actually the best service I’ve had at any of the branch locations. Thanks so much!!

The service was excellent and professional. I was able to open a checking account and get my new debit and credit card in less than half an hour. Also questions were answered and issues resolved regarding accounts that were transferred over from a former credit union. Very thankful for the seamless transactions.
