Make your own call - there's a reason they have 1.5 stars on Yelp. In this case you don't get what you pay for.

I live in the Aix La Chapelle condominium complex. Each condo has a fan coil unit. The complex was build in the 60s, and most of the fan coil units are in need of replacement. Mine was still working, but I wanted to replace it before it failed. I was nervous that it would flood my place - and the condos below mine - if I didn’t preventatively replace it. The condo complex has one recommended plumbing/heating/cooling contractor. That contractor gave me a quote to replace the fan coil unit with an identical system. I wanted to do my due diligence and got other quotes because it was going to be expensive. These systems are unique, especially in Utah. I called a dozen or so HVAC specialists and was told again and again that they couldn’t help me. Then Jim from Neerings came to check out the system. He told me that the price quoted from the HOA recommended contractor seemed reasonable. He explained that his team could build me a customized system that would be easier to service and maintain than what I currently had, but it would be more expensive than the price the HOA recommended contractor quoted me. I decided to go with Neerings because I couldn’t find anyone other than the HOA recommended contractor who could work on the existing equipment, and I didn’t want to be so dependent on the HOA recommended contractor. Neerings ran up against some challenges while trying to replace the system. Water is constantly running through the system, which serves the entire complex, and the shut-off valves in my unit were broken. Neerings had to buy a tool to freeze the pipes in order to replace the shut-off valves. They were a little hesitant to do this because they don’t have a large need for that equipment in Utah and because they have to take on more liability when freezing pipes. Pretty quickly they decided to buy the equipment. It seemed like they really cared about getting this job done for me. Throughout the process the Neerings team helped me communicate with the HOA manager to coordinate and complete the replacement. They were very patient, persistent, professional, resourceful, and friendly. The old system only let me control whether the fan was on or off. The new system lets me have the fan on two different speeds. The faster speed is sometimes necessary to keep the place at a comfortable temperatures, but it is relatively loud, so it is nice have a lower speed available.

The four star rating is because of the pricing and the financial burden the price puts on my family for one hour of work.
