They did a good job on window installation, but I was disappointed when they lead me on in thinking I'd get a good deal but didn't follow through. Ended up paying +20% more than what I thought was agreed. Get their price in writing every step of the way or they'll catch you off guard. They also got the pane pattern off on a side window, and rather own up, the owner tried to convince me that it looked great. The owner left me thinking they'd done a good job through some savy talking, but once they'd left I knew I'd never call them again. It was an empty experience.

After reading good reviews we chose glass doctor for our shower and bath glass install. We had an entirely different experience Timely measure and install turn around however they cut the shower glass wrong and it took 4 weeks and 10 phone calls to get it installed correctly. I spoke with Greg The owner after he installed what we thought were custom bath doors with the handles too high he told us no one else has ever complained before so we shouldn’t have a problem with it. We got our quote in June and the work didn’t get finished until September- not worth the hassle. I would find a different company.

Questions & Answers

How long after my windshield gets replaced can I drive away?

Currently, most Glass Doctor locations use urethane with a one-hour safe drive-away time from when the new windshield gets set. No need for blue tape or any holds on washing your car. You are fully protected at the 60-minute mark. Please be sure to check with your local Glass Doctor to ensure the type of urethane being used.

Can you cut tempered glass?

Glass Doctor - Owner | May 19, 2022
Glass Doctor - Owner | May 19, 2022

Unfortunately, tempered safety glass, by design, cannot be cut. It is designed to break into small pieces when cut or broken to reduce the risk of significant injuries to the person breaking it. Using safety glass, of which “tempered” is one type, is mandated by state building codes in specific applications like doors, sidelights, showers, etc. Please call Glass Doctor if you want more information on this topic.

Do you replace sliding door rollers?

Glass Doctor - Owner | May 19, 2022
Glass Doctor - Owner | May 19, 2022

Yes! We do replace rollers if needed. Of course, we try to clean the tracks and rollers and adjust first. If that does not work, we will discuss replacing the rollers for you.

Can you buff scratches out of glass?

Glass Doctor - Owner | May 19, 2022
Glass Doctor - Owner | May 19, 2022

Scratch removal in residential glass and light commercial applications is not a commercially viable solution. Basically, it is labor-intensive and not very successful. Furthermore, if the customer is not satisfied with the result, they are understandably not willing to pay for the time and materials invested by the glass company. Scratch removal and scratch buffing systems exist; however, they are typically only practical in warehouses, industrial, and on larger commercial glass projects. Please call our Glass Doctor office if you would like a more detailed explanation.
