Also make sure to bring a federally-issued photo ID as we need to log all scrap gold purchases to an online database. Note: when we purchase the ring it will be for its value in scrap material. Please do be aware that this may be significantly less than what you paid for elsewhere!

Hello Mehedi! If the ring is in silver or gold then it would be possible (so long as your finger isn't swollen.) If the ring is steel or if your finger has begun to swell then I'd recommend a direct trip to the ER.

Most simple and plain designs are usually ready for trying on in 2-3 days but can be expedited to next day if you place the order before 5PM. Things like extra finishes, laser engraving and stonesetting take additional time (1-2 weeks) after you've tried them on.

Hello Michelle! It'll depend on the type of repair work you need done; we will need to assess the ring in person in order to give you an exact time estimate. If it's something simple (such as a resizing or prong replacement) we can usually finish the job within 2 hours— it's a give or take depending on how busy we are at the time. Popular Jewelry is primarily a retail operation and as such we do have to prioritize sales. If you're looking to get a repair finished in the shortest amount of time be sure to stop by before 12PM. We're open every day from 9:30 to 6:30PM.

Hello David. Yes, we do offer a layaway plan here at Popular. The minimum required deposit is 10% of the item's value; once you've left a deposit we will keep your item(s) on hold for 90 days. There are no regular payments required; the only necessity is that you pay the entire amount in full within those 90 days. If you do not pay off the layaway on time the item will no longer be kept on hold but you may use the credit towards another purchase (you may also renew your layaway if the item is still unsold by the time you make your next trip here.)

It's very unlikely jewelry stores would buy cosmetic jewelry because of its low material value. Most places that will buy jewelry would offer money for gold and diamonds because their material value far outweighs the cost in recycling them. Whether or not each store will offer any money for your sterling silver and/or turquoise jewelry is at the discretion of the business. If you have any old gold / diamond jewelry that you need to get rid of and would like cash or store credit, you may bring it in to our store to have us evaluate it and provide you with a quote.
