A beautiful place to stay on your vacation or just relax and enjoy the sunny Florida weather. My partner and I are here now during Hurricane Ian and we live on the West Coast Side of Florida where the hurricane hit so we thought we would come for a stay here at the Worthington Guest House in Fort Lauderdale Florida and I am so glad that we are here and really enjoying ourselves with the people that we have met are so warm and friendly. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful this hotel for men is. Thank you to the Worthington staff for all your amenities and hospitality during our stay with you.

Today Hurricane Ian is about to hit South Western Florida approaching a Category 5 strength which is the worst kind of hurricane possible. Florida has declared a state of emergency. Citizens are being evacuated from their homes in fear of catastrophic devastation that is anticipated. I tried to cancel my reservation at The Worthington today and was told that since the airport is still open, I could still travel and therefore I would lose my 1/3 deposit which was over $200.00. I think it is appalling that in the face of a destructive storm (which is anticipated to destroy a good portion of the Fort Myers area) that will make it impossible to get there safely and I will be unable to enjoy any vacation due to a "random act of God" that they are keeping my money. This is beyond ridiculous. I have never stayed here and at this point, I will NEVER stay there if this is how they treat their patrons.

Not as good as it used to be. Overpriced. The room we stayed in was $135 just 3 years ago, now it's $225 a night (8 nights stay). Less service than before, you have to ask for housekeeping every day and/or change the towels yourself. New reservation sucks, and they demand the full amount in advance. Occupancy dramatically down compared to before, weekdays the resort was almost empty.

I have tested positive for covid they are unwilling to work to make canceling fair to the customer unsure if I would ever book with them again. I was willing to show proof and they don’t care!

Questions & Answers

I noticed in a review it said there’s no bar. What is the hotels policy on brining your own alcohol then?
