Nice clean park with great trails to walk

Nice park maintained by the City of Lufkin. Youth Baseball/Softball and Soccer. Please note if you are coming to play softball from out of town, both soccer and softball are often happening at the same time. Please be courteous where you set up your RV. Just because you are far away from the softball parking could put you right in the middle of the parking lot for soccer.

I frequent the hiking trail, and it is maintained to a high standard almost no trash on the trails and the bridge construction is solid. If there is consistent rain the trail will be muddy and full of puddles and bare roots. The map is accurate and convenient, and fallen trees across the trail get cut and moved timely. Throughout the week there is little to no traffic on the trail, and I've never had bicyclers hog the trail or vice versa.
