Started off by being yelled at on the phone about handicap rooms not being available on weekends (what?). Booked the room online because it didnt say anything about it. The front desk emoloyee was judgemental about booking a handicap room because the person that checked in was the non handicap person, asked why we had it. The "handicap accessible" room had a 3 inch tall threshold that a wheelchair cannot be pushed up without help. The space between the furniture and bed did not allow a wheelchair user to pass through without hitting their hands on the sides. The bathroom was wheelchair accessible luckily. The room was overall gross and the manager and front desk employee were extremely rude to us and other patrons. They also say they offer free breakfast online and even on the road sign but signs are up inside saying they no longer offer it because of covid. We ended our stay early and booked somewhere else. The room was nonrefundable as well. Don't book here! If you do, get trip insurance....

Horrible. We booked a non smoking room and they insisted that we booked a smoking room.. My husband pulled up the email that verified the non smoking room booking. The people were really rude. They tried to charge us for the use of the room for the 15 minutes spent on our phones trying to find another place to stay. Needless to say, we left after hassle and negotiations that were stressful and unnecessary. NEVER AGAIN. And the rooms are seriously ratty and run down.

The only reason we stopped here is one if the hikers in our group was hurting so we came off trail and into town. I am pretty sure they over charged us by 60 bucks but we were pretty desperate for a place to crash. Reviewing based on a normal person coming to the area looking for a place to stay I give this 2 stars. The place is in disrepair and the owner seems to be using the office as a daycare or something. It is a mess with kids toys everywhere. The room itself was a surprise. It was old but looked clean and ready for us. My stars are for that because nothing else about this place, including the price we were charged was worth any stars. If you use Hotels.com or other apps you can get a room here for like 69 bucks. Found that after unfortunately. I would never stay here except in the very rare case that you come off the Appalachian trail desperate for a real bed.

The room itself meets the standards of a clean welcoming space. However the hotel owner is horrible. At 10am I got a call from the office (1 hour before check out) requesting that I do not rebook online, instead book directly through the office because online prices are cheaper. Then I witnessed him force a man to change rooms at 9pm because he suspected that they were smoking in the room rather than discretely, charging him a fee, he made a scene of such and humiliated the man. That same man was smoking a cigarette on the outside deck portion of the hotel, the owner was watching the cameras and called his room to tell him not to do that. Their is no sense of privacy the owners watch the cameras 24/7 and have no problem letting you know they’re watching. Also their is a lot of false advertising, their is no breakfast, and no fitness center. When I asked about the breakfast his excuse was “COVID” and when I asked him about the fitness room he told me they didn’t have one, even though their is advertisement saying they do have these amenities.
