The range is fine. But in typical dnr fashion, they hate fun. If you want to sight in a rifle and fire one shot every 5 minutes like a fudd. This is for you. If you want to run some drills with a handgun. You're likely going to get yelled at. And don't even think about using a binary trigger. The super fudd DNR (who are staunchly anti 2nd amendment) say you can't have that kind of fun. So if you want to obey the first rule of firearms, always have fun, then take your business elsewhere. The DNR hates fun.

I like to get a little range time in wherever I am in town seeing family. It's one of the better outdoor ranges I've been to that are open to the public. I love that they have plate racks and gongs for anyone who wants to use them.

Shooting reactive steel targets is a lot more fun than just punching paper. I showed up early in the morning and all the steel targets had been freshly painted. The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean. They rent spoting scopes for $3. Overall thier prices are quite reasonable. This is an awesome place to shoot

Honestly the shooter has no control over where the ejected shells go. It's the ranges responsibly to put up walls to prevent this.

We are a public range and everyone is welcome. We do charge $10 per hour to use the facility.
the hours for the next two weeks are 11-5 on wednesday Thursday and friday and then in September we will also be open on Sat and Sunday from 9 - 5. It is a first come/first served range
We do not rent firearms or sell ammo but everything else is available
I don't know, best bet is to call and ask, I just use the rifle range
