This is a great park. It's what turns me off from this park. Great for a gathering outdoors perhaps a 3 stars. Bathrooms a neg 10 stars for the foul smell and no way to get ahold of the current park ranger

Easter lake is generally very well maintained and a beautiful spot anytime of year.

You could probably fish there all night if you did it from the road and not inside the park there are a couple spots you could probably get away with it

Not yet. Only turtles inhabiting area now. No fish currently being transplanted by DNR.
No water...its dead and uglyit is now barricaded off. They have moved construction equpt stuff in as of march 25, 2018
Because there are certain hunters permitted to hunt doe to cull the population...there is a special permitt you can apply for in sept for antlerless deer for certain parks and wooded area in polk county..it is bow hunting
Last time it was dredged it was 30ft. Befor that you could walk across it. Currently (April 2018) it is drained dry to remove silt and renovate it and should be 30ft after it is done.
