I grew up on a family owned Christmas tree farm in rural Virginia so to say I'm picky about tree farms and Christmas trees is a massive understatement. We recently moved to the area and had asked around about cut your own tree farms and Santa's Woods was recommended by multiple people. We drove out one weekday to pre-tag a tree (which I appreciate that they let you do!). We searched hundreds of trees for a couple of hours looking for the right one...I told you. I'm picky 😂 We finally found the one. Tagging the tree was simple and we planned to come back a couple weeks later to pick it up. All we had to do was call and let them know when we wanted to come by. Pick up was simple because the tree was already cut, shaken out, and wrapped and they very securely tied it to the top of my SUV. I had mixed feelings about this part simply because we love being able to actually cut our own tree down and know how long it's been cut before we get it home. I completely understand why they do it the way they do so I'm not really complaining... Just explaining how the process worked. We picked up on a weekday so there were only two people working in the shop and one or two guys working to cut and load trees. But we were not rushing it all and truthfully it really didn't take very long anyway. They have an adorable little shop upstairs with locally made goods. They make Christmas wreaths right there in the shop so it smelled amazing! We went all weekday so there wasn't much going on but my understanding is that on the weekends they have quite a few activities going on! They do have an adorable reindeer that my kids were thrilled to talk to and visit with while we waited for our tree. Overall, wonderful experience! We will absolutely be back!

This place will be gorgeous when the snow falls. Had to wait a bit to check out. That person was outside helping someone else. The wreaths are gorgeous and the gnomes are adorable.

We loved Santa’s Woods so much last year we returned this year!! Wonderful, friendly folks, cheerful atmosphere, well organized—and a shout-out to Connie, who added a personal touch to our Christmas wreath and the young man who brought our big tree—probably twice his size—carefully to our truck. 10+ stars!! Thank you and Christmas Blessings to you and yours!!

My family pre-tagged a tree here this year for the first time and we had a great experience. They had a nice variety of trees to pick from. We enjoyed pleasant weather, which made the overall experience that much better! You can do some walking to pick out your right tree, so I suggest dressing appropriately for that and the weather. When we were ready to pick up, I simply called a couple of days ahead and let them know when we would be there. You pay at the barn kind of behind the tree farm and at the top of the hill, where they also have a beautiful variety of fresh wreaths, cider and hot cocoa. Once you pay, you pull up to the designated area and they load your tree. It was a quick and easy process. I highly recommend Santa’s Woods.

Our last day day is Sunday December 13.
only tag, and you'll need a $10.00 cash deposit as well!
Hi, Susan. We don't offer flocking but we do have Jack Frost White which is one of our Amazing Technicolor Trees available only at Santa's Woods. I posted a picture of one on the google listing just a few minutes ago for you to see. We hope to see you soon at Santa's Woods! (ps. we're pretagging through Sunday 11/15 and you can order Jack Frost White when you pretag your tree.)
You tag it, they cut it.
We have our own reindeer who live on our farm throughout the year.
