I am going through a bad divorce and have been living in a motel for the last 2 months with my two children. I finally found a place to live and start my life over. I came to starfish to get help with Furniture because my soon to be ex destroyed everything we had. They wont help me because i dont have the ss card and birth certificates for my children. Like i said everything got destroyed. I have my children's numbers but not the actual cards. So untill i can afford it (and that may be awhile) my kids will be sleeping on the floor. I just thought anyone that donates should know. Im a hard working mother that just needed a little break. Guess i wont get it here.

They really helped me with items I needed for me and my family. Couldn’t thank them enough.... everyone was so sweet, friendly and kind. We prayed together and I left in tears. So great full to have a place with these people around.
