I always hate to see low reviews and wonder often if we as community members could have been more positive going into our conversations with the people supporting our services. I'm here to give a very positive review of two individuals that I've had the pleasure to interact with, all while having to deal with an outside pipe leak and knowing it will cost me. A few weeks ago a gentlemen with the water department rang my door bell and informed me that I may have a leak, due to some excessive usage over the last few days. He gave me a few suggestions on what to look out for and asked that I get in touch with the water department once I find out the issue. I was so glad he took the time to inform me of the potential problem, rather just moving on about his day. Fast forward through all the plumbing work that had to be done to fix the problem (shout out to City Plumbing Company), and I am now working with Cassy at the water department on my billing overages. She was super pleasant on the call and I really felt like she cared about my situation and took the time to listen to my concerns. Some of my overages will go into my next bill and she asked that I head in to see her once the new bill comes out and we'll get it adjusted properly. Plumbing issues suck and can easily put us in a negative mind space. I'm blessed to have met some great people doing great work in our community to look out for each other and was encouraged by their positive attitudes. I think it is too easy sometimes to walk into conversations with city and service people and think that we aren't going to be taken care of and heard. At the end of the day, these are hard working people like ourselves and often times they are dealing with everyone's problems. Reading some of the other reviews, it breaks my heard at how down right rude people can be these days. Thank you for those great employees fighting the good fight to stay in a positive headspace and take care of your community members. We are all Florence residents and I'm blessed to have met along the way in life.

They cut off my water even when everything is in the system that scstayplus plus pay for my utilities . And the white lady was so rude, the one with masculine haircut and heavy set. ( I am white)

What is the point of having anybody work in the water department, when you call they should be smart enough to handle any question or concern not well in order for us to help you need to fill out a form and we will think about assisting--the water. Department is completely worthless, the other issue was i called the so called emergency line and it took them 8 hours to respond to a broken line causing my house to have no water while i young kids, disabled family and my wife there and they couldnt flush

Came out told me it was my issue even tho it's the supply pipe for water that the city installed. Useless people work here

Why is deposit so high and keeps getting higher. Can't afford all at once. Can arrangements be made for a few payments? With large down payment can payments be worked out? Please respond asap......

Yes ,I dont understand it either,They add so many thing to it.,It make hard pay other utility bill,you have to call ask for arrangment,It hard on disable,senior citizen.
