An easy two mile trail along the river. Only dog friendly trail on the Tennessee side of the Great Smokey mountains National park, so it gets a thousand likes from me. Trail has some access to the river and bridge. The trails also connects Gatlinburg to the Great Smokey mountains visitor center. Parking at both ends, but the lot in town right by the trail is a premium price.

Beautiful, well maintained, kid-friendly hike. About 4 miles in and out. Runs along the river with lots of nice places to step off the trail and get in the water. Dog friendly.

Very beautiful trail that starts right on the edge of Gatlinburg. One of the two dog friendly trails in the Smokies, and our dog loved it! Saw a decent amount of wildlife, including bears (got our dog out of there quickly.) Also can access the big park sign for pictures. We really enjoyed this hike and it's not very strenuous.

Beautiful trail! We started on the end closer to town (not at the visitor center). In my opinion that side was prettier to start out with. This was a popular trail so there were lots of families along the way. Many people brought there dogs which was fun to see. Trail was solid and easy to walk on. Pretty well maintained.. we did have to duck under a tree. Trail is roughly 3.5 miles long so bring some snacks and water to enjoy along the way.

Stroller is fine. Carrier you will wear yourself out! Happy trails
will not recommend for running
There is a couple of small parking areas by the road that runs parallel to the trail that are free 2 hour parking. But there is a lot near the entrance that you have to pay to park. I don't know how much it is since I was lucky enough both times I went to find one of the free ones available. I wouldn't think it'd be very expensive though. Hope this helped.... have fun walking that beautiful trail... I know we did.
I am pretty sure that they allow horses on the trail head, and there are plenty of riding stables around there
The majority of the bears we see have been in Cades Cove. Stick to the trail and if you see a park ranger be on higher alert. You will be fine. You will love the walk!!
No, there aren't, but it'll take you straight to the Sugarland visitor center and from there there's a small walk to Cataract Falls(dogs are not allowed on this one I believe) It does follow a small river/creek? and it's really pretty.
There are some wheelchair and handicapped trails that are paved. Beautiful park!!
Not that I saw but you can pick up free maps from the visitor centers
All of the roads are paved roads so you should be fine!
Easy, mostly flat and graveled. Small inclines at different places.
Yes. Start from the Gatlinburg side to avoid weaving through the visitor center nonsense
No cost to enter the park.
It is about 2 hours round trip. We walked with a 7 year old and took a lot pics, stopped a few mins here and there. Hope this helps
