Do not call for basic information, i called to ask about how to go about doing something i was unsure of, and the woman I got ahold of to assist me was downright rude, all I had was a simple question and it was met with a rude response and then when I told her great thanks for helping me she hung up as if I was wasting her time, so if yall got questions, leave them unanswered, and ask google, they won't help you

Do not send them for a wellness check unless it is absolutely and I MEAN ABSOLUTELY necessary. One was sent for me on 12/23/21 and I was fine just wanted them to leave but they wouldn't (granted i was heated that they were there I'll admit). They threatened to break down my door so that forced me to open it in fear of damage to my rental home. As soon as I opened it two men grabbed me and slammed me face down on my porch and cuffed me. I hadn't hurt myself or anyone else but they told me it was for my "safety". They didn't let me call anyone the whole four hours they held me. It wasn't for my safety I was safer at home. I don't feel safe anywhere now because I feel some of my rights were violated that morning.

Have been harrassed by officer John Hoefert for years now and The Chief assured me he would leave me alone, but has still fallowed me, called my job and tried to have me fired, he drives home to Woodriver during work hours and I’ve sent pictures of it to the Chief and nothing gets done. John Hoefert is the same officer seen in the video knocking down the camera of a house that him and other officers broke into. They are nothing but Tyrants and the corruption goes all the way to the top!

I came in to alton in 1992 and on and off i live in the area after coming out of the army, i had no problems with any law enforcement, i always follow the law in the state which i live so i have no problem, i am pleased with A.P.D, those who have problems are those who cause them for themselves, personally i plan on buying a house in Alton in the near future because of the level of safety that A.P.D delivers, if you are a problem child that's your own problem and i can't care less.GO A.P.D.
