So much fun. The entire team were so great and set us up quickly. We had a very relaxing float down the river and would highly recommend doing this

Staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. We did the long float and enjoyed all the beauty the river had to offer. Pack food and water especially if you plan to stop along the river.

JR made our first tubing experience fabulous. The river wasn’t flowing too fast which made our 4-5 hr long float close to a 6hr float. The scenery was beautiful and seeing a bald Eagle in the trees above topped it off. I would highly recommend Grant Tubing to anyone especially first time tubers. JR was quick to answer any questions we had and gave great suggestions on where to stay, where to eat & drink, and places to check out in the area. 👍🏼👍🏼

Well, it's been about five years since a group of us made the trip to Grant River Tubing. We did it on a whim while camping at Nelson Dewey State Park (get sites A, B, C or D!). All of us had been tubing on the Wolf River and the Apple River, so we were excited to try out a new location. We were not disappointed! The river is nice and large, and not once did we have an issue where we had to stand up and walk our tube through the shallows, which is part for the course on the Wolf. There were plenty of people, but because the river is so wide and has plenty of twists and turns, it was easy to feel like we had the whole thing to ourselves. At one point we beached our tubes for some lunch and drinks, and were lucky enough to watch a bald eagle swooping down to have his hand at some fishing. All in all, fantastic. We are planning on doing it again next summer.

Hi Brenda! Grant River Tubin' Co. is approximately 45 min to an hour away from Palace Campground in Galena. I am not aware of any places in Illinois in that area, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Perhaps those running the campground know of places that are closer if we are too far away. Please let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks for reaching out! Lynne

It is $20 for each person tube, $10 for each cooler tube and a $10 fee for the group if using the shuttle assist.
There are 2 float options; a 5 hour float and a 3 hour float. These times are based on floating straight through without stopping.
