Worst service in 33 years. Absolute trash. Spokesperson lies about problems. This problem could be fixed with leadership but they don't want to address it and in fact caused the issues. Places Navy burden on Sailor, unacceptable. So much for honorable leadership. My paperwork was submitted 90 days in advance, got an email 5 days before retirement.

The people who work here are really great and do an amazing job. The "PSD" that used to be here is actually no more and has transitioned to TSC. They no longer do everything that a PSD used to do which may not seem like a good thing but it is what the Navy is transitioning too. The workers work hard everyday and get bad reviews for things they have no control over. Thanks for all you do!

I need to know if any one has an email or phone number some one will actually answer because this is unacceptable.

I would give zero stars if I could. I worked here for over 2 years and the people here don't care about anything besides getting to go home early. They'll sit on your pay issues for months and give you attitude for asking about it. If you stand up for other people, you get reprimanded. On top of it all, I was going to work for a contracting company that works with the military in this building, I was denied the job because someone in the building complained about me coming back as a civilian. What happened to equal opportunity? This is the worst place to work and the absolute worst TSC/PSD Navy wide. I'm so sorry for anybody that chooses to come here with their pay/personnel issues.

Questions & Answers

Why do you employ some of the most blatantly disrespectful, unprofessional, rude people with a total lack of customer service skills and basic listening skills? When did it become ok to treat people like this?

Exactly, almost all the number ring off the hook and no voicemail option. Good luck!!

Is there a way to go around PSD? Or at least get the people there held accountable for not doing what they are supposed to be doing in regards to our records? What does it take to get these civilians to do their jobs?

Ask to speak to the Master Chief and if that does not work, go up the chain of command.

My spouse is on deployment and I’m filing for a divorce, can I mail you guys the paperwork declaring it being finalized so he’s not collecting BAH from it anymore?

Halimah Abdul-Wahid | Oct 17, 2018
Kate Romero | Oct 17, 2018

You cannot mail paperwork to PSD. You have to provide *finalized paperwork* in person and also provide photo ID. You CAN make an appointment to cut down on the time you spend there... You will also be required to surrender your Dependent ID at the time that you turn in finalized paperwork (assuming spouse is your sponsor)... as a note: your spouse will still collect BAH, the amount just changes... also, any overpayment will most likely back-dated and collected from the service member (via garnishment) once the paperwork is entered.

Why are you afriad of your tax paying employer, (the people calling but no one answers)???

They are understaffed and overworked. There isn't a great reason to be rude.

Why don't you answer your phone???

It's no longer a PSD, it's a Transaction Service Center. For telephone support, ⅓ of the staff was relocated to stand-up the My MNCC call center. Call them for customer service. For email support, another ⅓ of the staff was relocated to stand up their virtual customer service. The ⅓ of the staff remaining is dedicated to processing over 2 million transactions annually; and, continue to take the workload from all the PSDs closing. That ⅓ staff doesn't have time to spend answering calls when they are processing millions of transactions. And, no military staff is not teleworking.

Are civilian DOD employees allowed to visit a PSD to obtain a passport?

Laurie Randolph | Oct 17, 2018
Kate Romero | Oct 17, 2018

You’re certainly allowed to visit, but they don’t do “blue” civilian passports... if you wanting a Official Government Passport (brown) they can probably help.
