Love this place ! Great place to go fishing 🎣and see Beautiful Sunrises if you get there early in the morning. They two different sets of bathroom the one at the pier isn't very clean or smell good but if you go other side where the boat go in at you will appreciate it more. ❤️❤️

Very cool pier to fish and find sea glass! I was so excited to see sea glass. And the little crabs were just brilliant. Also clean restrooms, great parking, and handicap accommodations! Very great place.

The new port river peir is a public peir and they do get checked and you do need a fishing license there

Yes, you have to purchase a NC salt water license.

It is a state ramp. There are no cost for using it. It is open 24 hrs a day, 7 days per week. It is not staffed.

Small sea bass, croaker, pinfish, trout, sea mullet. I can be most anything!
