Called ahead of time to see if this location had a specific item. A lady answered the phone and said she couldn’t go look because she was working in the back. I asked if there was someone on the floor that could possibly help me. She said no, that they were all checking people out because there were long lines. I get to the store 5 mins after that phone call. When I walk in, the two employees working the register (front) are just standing there talking. So I walk back to the seasonal section and am not finding what I was looking for. So I approach an older man and woman that was in the party section. I asked if they had the item I was looking for. The older lady said, “oh yeah. I just saw those in the back”. I said, oh wonderful. Could I get two of those please. Neither one of them really said anything and didn’t acknowledge that I asked. So I asked again if I could possibly get two of that item. The old guy looks me in my face and says, “ we have better things to do. We have people coming tomorrow to check our store out.” So he apparently had better things to do than his job. So I then remembered the lady that answered the phone and said she was working the back stock area. So I asked if the lady working the back could help me. They both said that there was no one working the back and that they were all out and up front. I proceeded to tell them that something wasn’t adding up. Because just 5 mins ago, the lady on the phone couldn’t help me because she was working the back. Now no one can help me because no one’s working the back. They obviously lied. They apparently didn’t want to help a customer because they had “ better things to do”. I have never in my life been told by a store employee (manager), that they had better things to do than help a customer. It’s literally your job! Needless to say, I will not be shopping that store again. I will take my business to the DT on Murfreesboro Rd, Franklin location. There, they actually help their customers and are SO nice. Once I began to tell people my experience there, almost every single person I spoke to, said they too had a similar experience with the older guy and woman. This man and woman need some major training. Especially if they’re getting managerial pay. They certain do not conduct themselves as managers.
