As other's have said this place is ran down, and that's putting it lightly. Also, they apparently think RVs are less than 12ft tall, because that's what the trees are trimmed to. I'll never forget this place, as I have 5 new tears in my RV roof to remind me.

I felt sad when spending the night at this Campground. It looked like a campground that once had its heyday, but has since been left to decay. Don't get me wrong, it is okay for a one-night stay. But it was not the $40 a night campground we were used to. The grass was mowed belatedly and piles of dead grass were everywhere. The restrooms had piles of bugs and you could tell they hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. What was once and entertaining miniature golf course is now in total disrepair with weeds growing throughout. Animal statues that used to thrill children have peeling paint and are dirty. Doors have peeling paint and are indicate. One door was strapped to stay open and was never shut throughout the night though it had a pool table and other things that could be destroyed by the weather. Though it was June 19th, swimming pools had tarps over them with debris and miscellaneous rusty building supplies laying all around. I had a feeling that perhaps people from all around this country community once had children who delighted at this Campground. But now the children have grown and moved away and the campground survives on permanent trailers and campers. I asked whether they had a military discount or a Good Sam discount and I was told no that the price structure was fair to everyone. The truth of it, this campground would never pass a Good Sam inspection. It served our purposes with electric and water for one night so that we could plug in our camper and have air conditioning to stay cool to sleep. I would never consider this Campground for a vacation spot. I took pictures but I see no way to post them on this review.

This place it certainly one of the most interesting campsites I’ve been to. It certainly has the most personality than any other campsite I’ve been to. However, it if very apparent that this place hasn’t been getting the maintaince it deserves. The mini golf, for example. It is obvious that a lot of love was put into building it, with the loveable “Gramps” and his cabin, the old cars, and all of the other interesting objects to see. But the course is currently on the edge of playable, with the plants being all overgrown and the playing surface being in tatters. However with a bit of trimming and resurfacing of the greens, this place would be an absolute joy. This is basically a theme for the whole camp. It has such a strong charm that if this place just got a little more maintaince, this would likely be my favorite RV park I’ve been to, but it’s obvious that the place is in a decline, but at the moment, it is completely reversible, and with some effort, this place can be restored to the former glory it once had. So please improve the maintaince of this place, I want to see it once again have the full charm that it once had, it’s not yet too late for this place, however if you wait too much longer, it could get to that point, and I don’t want to see that happen. So much heart was obviously put into creating this place, I want to see that heart out into restoring it to it’s former charm. If you are looking to stay here for 1 or 2 days, I’d certainly recommend it, all the charms of the camp will entertain you, however if you’re staying for longer, I’d stay somewhere else until the maintaince improves.

Our site was not level at all and we were told it would be big enough for our travel trailer, but we had to jack knife our rig to fit in. The bathrooms and showers are the worst I've ever been in...dirty, no privacy, no place to put your belongings. We got there after dark and there was no maps or anyone around to help us find our spot, which was not well marked. It looks like a kinda fun place for kids, maybe, but I'd never stay there again.

$430 a month for 30 amp hookup
I know that there's a laundry, not sure about shower unless there's one at the beach area.
Wow I wish I could help you, I stayed a couple weeks it was ok I paid by day didn't know how many day's I would be working there, sorry
I dont know for certain but they have mostly seasonal sites so there is someone there all the time. They accomodated us for an overnight in late March. The onsite manager was very helpful and friendly. However, if you think this is a KOA, think again. It was 30 years ago but not now. The facilities are not in the best state of repair.
