DO NOT USE DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY Goggle MAPS! It directs one down White Eagle Bend Trail PRIVATE road to a resident's driveway, which DOES NOT GO TO RAINBOW BEND CAMPGROUND!@! INSTEAD...Stay on CONNORS FLAT ROAD FOR 1 MORE MILE and THEN TURN LEFT DIRECTLY into Rainbow Bend Campground. Google Maps is WRONG!!! Campgrounds is small with few camping sites and river site are NOT ACCESSIBLE by car. One needs to carry everything in about 1/4 mile to camp sites on AuSable River unless kayaking or canoeing river, which sites are meant for them. Only pit toilets available that need cleaning! ⛺️😔

For a rustic sites, this place is awesome. Sites have a lot of room and not right on top of each other. Out house's where clean. Some of the sites did have some garbage at them though.

Excellent riverside camp ground for enjoying the Au Sable River, an excellent wild trout waterway. Camp fee required for overnight stay. Fire rings. Picnic tables. Primitive outhouse type toilet.

Was able to camp right next to the river when we were kayaking. Nice sites.
