It’ll be a year in June, and since I’ve been staying here it’s been great and very peaceful. I have a one bedroom. The Only thing I don’t like about it is how extremely small it is and how my kitchen is combined to the living room. I can barely have any company. Other than that it’s a really nice area. The buildings are just old.

Have lived here for a full year and recently renewed a lease for another. First 10 months were just fine, no issues other than rude downstairs neighbors. Not until the end of our first lease, and start of our second, did we begin seeing issues with management. Firstly, the bugs. Despite keeping the apartment tidy and clean throughout the year, we began seeing roaches. To make matters worse, we reach out to management to ask for pest control or spraying of some sort - none of which was done. Next, our dishwasher begins to smell like sewage when ran. After bringing this to the attention of management, they explain to us that this "sometimes happens if the machine isn't used for a long time," despite us using the machine 3 days prior without issue. (Dishwasher issues seems to actually be resolved at this time, thankfully.) Lastly, the rats. Both the roommate and I have seen them run from the hole underneath our dishwasher (which management refuses to cover) into our kitchen. Remember that the apartment has been kept clean and tidy the whole time, so no reason for these pests to be showing up all the sudden. After calling the Leasing Office, and demanding an exterminator be brought to the unit, we were told that we'd have to wait more than a week for an exterminator to be brought in. So we waited, and once someone was finally brought in, they laid down a glue trap and left. Not only has that failed to catch the rat, but it's now been a month since reaching out (with zero follow-up), and the rat has chewed through every trap they set. Management is irresponsible. If unresolved soon, we have all intents and purposes to report to the health department.

I have now lived here for over a month, and so far it has been great! Its a charming area and peaceful apartment community. People mostly keep to themselves. Units are decent and have a good atmosphere. They have natural light, which was important to me, and I was surprised to see a brick feature wall in my unit when I moved in. The units are not perfect because the buildings are older, but the apartment staff and maintenance are responsive and friendly. So far, I’m happy with my choice for my first apartment.
