I made an appointment almost 3 weeks out after they called Mr (3) three times to donate as they are limited with A positive blood. I replied to the emails texts and answered promptly that I would be there for my appointment. I showed up 40 mins early, tries the door it was locked. I thrn called the national Line after calling this specific liewis center location multiple times with no answer. After the national line put Mr on hold an card this locating an MAor trx came to the door and said sorry we had a computer issue. I said well your manager or there management could have texted, emailed or called me to tell me they were canceling, just the same way they contacted me to make certain I was coming to my appointment. I took of work for a half day to make certain I was there on time. they say they are in need of doners but sure don't care if you have an appointment or not. so I tried walking into another one and they said I had to have an appointment?!! I said I tried thst but their computer was down and some how could not contact contact to let me know I couldn't come tbst day. it sounds like the management at that particular store does not know what they're doing or doesn't care at all for their job

I had an appointment, I had my rapid pass filled out, and I was turned away after I was questioned extensively for my presence and I had proven to them that I had showed up at the correct time and place for my scheduled appointment. I was surprised, to be honest. They say the need is critical but they didn't honor my appointment. Prior to the day of my appointment, I had received several confirmation calls verifying that I would be there. There's obviously a disconnect between the national American Red Cross and this location which makes an unpleasant and inconvenient experience for would-be donors.
