PuroClean Certified Restoration Specialist 204 Trefny Ave. Metairie, LA 70003 First the address is not correct. The address will take you to a shopping center. Correct address is above my review. With that said, on to our experience. Be very careful when finalizing your services with Puroclean. Visit your property while they are working. Our air ducts have holes in them due to how their negligent mitigation team left them dangling everywhere. Now they have to be replaced. An expense we didn't factor for. They broke a window and did not even have the decency to mention it to us along with our granite countertops, again noone mentioned this to us. Pieces of some of our wood is broken, you know the structure of the inside of our walls, apparently no big deal to them, either. We were led to believe they were negotiating with our insurance company about our home during the mitigation process, come to find, they were not. Which in turn left us with a wait for it, $81k invoice. That's $81,000. They settled on a much lower number. Upon further investigation to this said invoice, we discovered that their team wrote charges in there that they did not even remove. We have a few pocket doors in our home and they wrote that in the invoice as if they removed them. They did not have correct measurements of our floor molding amongst other incorrect measurements and wrote that at a significantly higher removal charge, also. Nails were left in MANY walls and insulation was all over our toilets and bathtubs.

Michael Keppner and his crew did an excellent job of mitigation and remediation on our water damage. We had damage to all of our flooring and a lot of walls. Puro Clean came in and totally helped us out. Communication was excellent, whether with Michael himself or his very professional work crew. I highly recommend this company for any mitigation and remediation needs.

Puroclean helped my family when we recently had our refrigerator line break. Water was everywhere, but to my amazement, they were able to dry EVERYTHING! Michael and his crew were quick to respond, professional, and answered all my questions. They saved the day, and my beautiful new home! Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful company. We're first time parents who have an infant and were concerned some air vents at our home potentially had mold. They inspected everything and helped put our minds at ease. Fortunately, there was no mold. They were friendly, thoroughly answered all of our questions, and even provided additional information to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you for helping to make sure our little girl is safe.

Questions & Answers

How do I prevent mold growth in my home?

The key to preventing mold growth is moisture control. There are many ways to achieve this including repairing leaks in your home—from walls, roof, gutters, plumbing pipes, etc., keeping indoor humidity at about 30-50%, ventilating appliances that generate moisture, getting your HVAC system inspected annually, cleaning gutters, and using materials such as mold-resistant paint.

Do I really need professional cleanup if the fire was small?

In most losses, cleaning the soot and smoke is the toughest part. Moreover, even small fires can cause major damage within minutes and leave lingering odors if not cleaned up properly. If you don’t act within a day or two of the fire, soot and smoke can leave permanent damage. Professionals have the tools and know-how to restore your home as quickly as possible and mitigate the loss.

How do certified technicians typically handle water damage?

The first thing professionals do is remove damaged materials that will either be restored or discarded. Materials include baseboards, insulation, furniture, carpeting, upholstery, carpet padding, fragile woods, drywall, and more. After the damaged items are removed, the technicians begin drying out the water and disinfecting the areas. Specialized tools like air movers and dehumidifiers are typically involved in the drying process. Professionals will also handle mold damage in the restoration process. Mold-infected surfaces will be disinfected and restored as quickly as possible to prevent it from spreading.
