Enterprise on Baronne Street, is a very relaxing environment. The employees are friendly, efficient and professional. Great place to rent a car downtown.

Made a reservation, called to confirm a vehicle would be available and was told yes. Spent more on Uber to get there just to be told they absolutely nothing available. Horrible service. While waiting another customer was trying to get her money back because of their lies. Wasted time and money for nothing. Horrible company, horrible service. Gave them another opportunity and they failed once again. Made a reservation, when I called to confirm they said the car wouldn’t be ready at the time I had selected to pick it up. They said they’d call when it was ready, that call never came. I called at 9am, they had all day to tell me that once again I wouldn’t be getting a vehicle but they couldn’t even be bothered to make that courtesy call. Completely unprofessional.

Close as in... Walking distance? If you are coming in or leaving on a cruise ship, there is a hertz right across from the Convention Center.

I believe that Enterprise has an airport rental outlet, as well, but avoid the airport rentals, if you can. They charge almost as much as the car rental, for airport fees/taxes. It's worth it to take a taxi to the downtown Enterprise
