Zero Cool
Might get bugs, might not catch anything, but this ain't just any pier. Before Hurricane Katrina, we had the old Twin Spans Bridge, and no pier. After the storm though, it was a dark time for many. This pier brought a lot of smiles and joy to a lot of people then. Was a nice place to just be, after a hard day of throwing everything you ever owned, out by the street, in a, "gut pile." Or maybe for those who didn't even have that, just a slab left. So to the owner, and/or whoever it may concern, thank you for that!

Pier was closed due to damage. There is no mention of this when googled. Wast of time and money. Date September 22, 2021. Sadly 😥 disappointed 😞. Came all the way from South Carolina.

There is a bait shop near the pier on Harbor Blvd. The Dock and Bait Shop open until 5 pm.
I dont remember hearing an official announcement on news. But I've talk to other local fishermen who all have told me. Yes it's been cleared to fish and swim again. I have been out fishing in my boat and there is no shortage of boats in the lake..
It wasn't open as of Monday July 25
