Do not bring your pet here. I brought my America pitbull terrier there for a blockage. She ate some wood. I had her x ray, and blood work from my vet. The lady said lable her as a pitbull mix which she is not! She is a registered American pitbull terrier . The fact that dogs are mislabeled makes me angry. Then the dr quoted me 6,ooo dollars for surgery. I then took my dog and left hysterically thinking I would have to put her down tomorrow. I then called somewhere else and was quotes 2,000 for the same thing. Mind you I had to pay 125 dollars to not even have my dog touched it took her 5 minutes to write the estimate and charge me 125 dollars and she wasn't even concerned about my dog. Probably because she was an assumed "pitbull mutt" instead call pet care canter in Metairie and save 2/3's on your bill. They are 24 7 too

*READ THE REVIEWS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY AND PEOPLE'S ANIMALS DIED IN THEIR CARE BE WARNED* $500 to tell me my cat had a UTI infection no payment plans or nothing ridiculous they just milk you of money and could careless if you can afford it or not. $500 come on now $200 or $250 would be more reasonable! I could buy the cat litter that changes color and tell someone their cat has a UTI for that kinda money. But, I don't rob people of a simple procedure 🙄

Great vets and friendly, helpful staff available for a broad spectrum of services. They are taking care of our third pet in her 1st year and the same vet took care our other two dogs for 16 years.

I've been recommending MSAH on the neighborhood App etc because I've been really satisfied with their service but I must say that today I was really shocked and disappointed at the statements by one of your male veterinarians today. He came out and looked around at me and my dog and another lady with her dog and walked up to the front desk and stated loudly enough that "Today has been nothing but big dogs' but that " Remember I'm a small animal doctor." One of the receptionist laughed and said "Right this is a SMALL animal hospital. He turned back around looked again and walked back into one of the examine rooms never once acknowledging us. Like wth???? I must say that I'm used to being disrespected right in my face but you won't be disrespecting my pup. He was older too so imagined if his wife brought his behind to a clinic to be seen and the doctor came from the back proclaiming that he only wanted to see young patients how would he feel. I thought all animals were welcome. My baby is medium sized and the other lady had a medium sized dog as well. I did see two larger dogs come from the back though so I'm sure he did see a bunch of larger dogs today but don't come out insulting folks pets because these are our family members. After that, I got a sick feeling and I didn't want him to touch my girl because obviously he didn't want to or was annoyed. So now I'm feeling like oh God is this the person that I have to trust my baby with. She didn't want to go to the back and I felt so bad as she was led away. I should've walked out of there. Listen maybe that guy should open his own practice so that he can only see small animals and take that receptionist who thought it was funny with him. If he owns this place I would like to know so that I can take my "large" dog elsewhere.
