It’s sad to leave this low of a score but let me explain. I’ve been with banfield since 2017. Earlier this year(February I think), my dogs vet left and so they put my dog with a newer vet. She called me and basically went over what me and the previous vet did with my dog who’s got horrible allergies. She told me that doing the allergy test ($600 that was recommended by the previous vet) was a waste of money and that a reputable vet clinic would normally look down on it and the waste of money “is what it is”. She then went over what she wants me to do ( all of which I did in 2018 if she’d look in the system) with an attitude. So for the first time, I didn’t agree to any of the items she suggested, picked my dog up, paid, and asked them to cancel the dog health insurance I’ve had with them. I was told no problem and went on my way. I just received a bill in the mail for over $700 that is owed to the vet health insurance that hasn’t been used since February. Honestly, I’m floored and asking people that if you’re thinking of using them.. don’t. I brought my dog to dodge city where it cost me $50 to get done what banfield would normally charge $200. My dogs allergies are 1000 times better too.

I’m always able to reach someone by phone; the staff were able to accommodate my cat and me for a same-day consultation. The de-brief I received over the phone with the vet was friendly and easy to understand and process. I’m very thankful for their patience and service to my pet. My cat never developed an infection due to their diligence!

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
Some have, some don't. It all depends on the locality. If you want to know, just call them.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
No. There are Optimum Wellness Plans that are like a payment plan for vaccines, so it can be helpful in routine preventive care, but not emergent/sick pets.
