Was a great stop during the drive through. Ledges trail was a nice, 1hr scenic walk, not difficult at all. Lots of mosquitos though ! June 2020. You can camp here too, they even have cabins to rent, although everything is first come first serve and it’s a long wait list !

My boyfriend & I absolutely loved it here. I went to HS in Maine but for my boyfriends first visit and my first time to Baxter it was gorgeous, we were blown away. The ranger who checked us in was 100% what you want need and respect in a Ranger. He made me feel safe, gave great trail advice & you can tell he's a big reason why it runs so well there and that goes for ALL the rangers. We will be back next summer! I loved camping here 🏕 we got lean to 11. Easy drive in, private, right the water but not on it we'd like to stay in lean to 12 or 22 next time here because one you need to canoe to and we checked em out they're gorgeous and right on the lake.

Lots of activities, amazing views. More trails than I can handle in a week. North Traveler is my new favorite trail. We will be back next year

This is car camping at it's finest. There is no electricity or running water unless you bring it, but there is a crystal clear lake with some great tasting water that you can filter. There are many hikes available from the the campsite as well as canoe rentals. With fishing available. There are fire rings at all sites with wood available for purchase. There are tent sites and one lodge to rent. The place is clean with no graffiti. They keep the out houses clean.
