Like every Wednesday I look for something interesting to fill my fabulous life. This time, I Invite a friend to enjoy a spectacular orchid exhibit. We headed to the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, 11 French Dr, Boylston, MA. I must clarify, that for this we prepare by buying the tickets in advance online. The staff was very friendly, and the place was packed with visitors of all ages. The garden had some awesome flowers and plants. This exhibit was indoors, and it was a nice break from having to be outside in the cold, but anyways I enjoyed the rain mixed with snow while I was appreciating the water fountain in the Pool Bundles sculpture in Domitian’s Pool... The dining area staff also were very welcoming servicing specialty, healthy foods to order. This is a wonderfully peaceful and clean place to visit. And I can't wait to return for a new adventure in full contact with nature. I recommend it.

This is an amazing place! The trails are well maintained and easy to walk. The indoor exhibits are gorgeous and many of the sculptural installations are a fun addition when you are outside. Very excited to come back and spend more time here in the summer!

I went to the orchid exhibit and it had some really awesome flowers and plants. This exhibit was indoors and it was a nice break from having to be outside in the cold. The staff are welcoming and there is a dining area with specialty, healthy foods to order. This is a wonderfully peaceful and clean place. Admission to this was about $17.

I could go on and on about Tower Hill Botanic Garden. I’m obsessed. We’re members outside of weddings, and our boys have grown up going here. Just 45 minutes west of Boston, perfect for weddings and parties (oh, also the events team is top-notch), or just escaping life’s busyness. They also have wine nights on Thursdays in the summer. It’s paradise. Seriously. You should go. Highly recommend a wedding ceremony in the Secret Garden. THBG is a must see!

New flowers. Once spring gets going, the gardens will fill in!

There is a trail of about 1.5 miles through the woods around the perimeter of the garden. If you want both gardens and a hike, Tower Hill would be a good choice. If you're just looking for a hike, get the AllTrails app
Yes and no, they must be restrained, 1st aggressive action by the pet, the staff will expect you to leave, lots of people... must be on leash, you must clean up after, bring a water bottle to water where the dog pees, to prevent the pee from burning plants... pets are not allowed in fountains....respect the space
It isn't all that close to Tower Hill, but Out post Farm in Hopkinton serves BBQ on either Tuesdays or Thursdays during the summer. Verrill Farms in Concord also use to sell BBQ on Thursdays during summer too, but not sure if they do anymore.
I was there yesterday. No reservations needed. Sit out on the patio. It was so beautiful!!
Did not see anybody riding bikes I would tend to think it's probably frowned upon because it kind of gravelly you can lose control and basically crash into some of the people that are walking on the trails it's probably best for just walking as opposed to taking a bike. You certainly can ask when you get inside the building there the kind of the entry building they'll give you the information but like I said I did not see anybody biking at all
Yes, but there is an additional cost.
I am a senior veteran so I believe it was 12 dollars.
Yes. They have made special accommodations. There is a small fee.
Some of them are in bloom now and the rest will likely be blooming by next week. The spring flowers are all peeking out now!
They have a variety of options from quick prepackaged snacks and bottled drinks that cost a few dollars to sandwiches and soups that cost $12-15. I didn't have a full lunch when I visited, but I imagine that lunch for two, including tax and tip might cost between $30-40. Very clean and welcoming space, friendly staff, and obviously the gardens are amazing!
Summer and spring
Gee, that's nice to know, but from my house, it would be quite a road trip in the middle of winter!!! Would I be able to see it online??? I might need to check that out!!! Thanks for the information!!!
Yes, picnics are OK with social distancing. Plan to pack everything out with you because no trash cans are currently available to the public, last I heard. I believe reserving entry tickets online is required before visiting, too.
Just into the parking lot. There's many beautiful trails to walk around.
FAMILY ($100 for 1 year, $190 for 2 years): Membership benefits for two named cardholders and four children or grandchildren 18 and under for 1 or 2 years. Plus, two complimentary gate passes upon request.
They are $16 per person like Paula said. Amazing fact though is that will put your daily fee (keep your receipt) towards a membership on that day if you fall in love. It is so worth a membership! The membership fee is only $65. So if you put the $16 reduction from that total, you're looking at an amazing price of $50 which is more than worth it!!
There is the sapce but it may be best to call and speak with their events manager.
We typically spend an hour or two at the garden.
Yes there is Adults: $16 Seniors (65+): $11 Youth (6–18): $6 Children 5 and Under: Free Dog Walking: $7
Yes they are however their not that expensive especially if you're on some kind of assistance.

No, but you can take a picture of it and try Google Goggles.... it might help identify it.....
Tower Hill will not cancel, refund due to a bit of inclement weather. I have gone during snow. It will still be beautiful.
Peter, you buy tickets online and they have times on them. Every 15 minute to try to have people arrive over a period of time rather than all at once. You can however stay as long as you want.
Probably should reach out to them!
Their website is always the best source for info. I found the ticket page by googling: tower hill night lights. https://www.towerhillbg.org/night-lights-ticket-confirmation-2018/
For big events like the harvest festival or member appreciation days they will usually have a local band or musician play in the lawn garden or winter garden.
Yes but they move some plants out into the gardens while the weather is hot enough.
Only Thursdays until mid-August are free after 3pm.
No. Strictly for education.
Dog walking is now allowed during all regular garden hours, but is restricted to a one mile loop trail through the woods. Dogs are not allowed in the building or in the formal gardens.
Yes, I believe there is but I don't know what it is as I went there for a party so old party-goers had free admission to the gardens.
If the ground is this: It is Laetitcia Forever If Heaven is here on Earth, it is happiness forever
