Good food, ate here twice. Tried the sopes pastor platter, good but needed more pineapple added when meat is cooked. Refried beans also needed to be better seasoned. Good amount of food for price. Second time tried their tostada platter, very good and better if the two dishes. Will definitely eat here again, good food and nice sized portions.

El Amigo will always be the NWI bar all local Mexican restaurants are measured against. Since the move they haven't been consistent. This place has. It's good, almost better. Almost.

Used to come to this place all the time and it was always 10/10! In the past year or so the food has always been cold/luke warm and it tasted old. We kept giving it a try thinking they just had a bad day until we ordered to-go and the order was wrong - not to mention cold and even had other food remnants in it (from food that wasn’t even a part of our order). Not sure if I’ll ever go back again due to the numerous times it hasn’t been great; there are other better Mexican restaurants in the area.

They are busy. But the food is always made to order so waiting is normal. Food is always correct and fresh and good. I'm happy. Been going here since they opened. Tostada is great and enchiladas. They also sell tamales which are excellent. Go there, get stuffed.
