I called up Doug today 10/06/22 and although he was recovering from a surgery he gave me golden advice on my choice of ductwork for my range hood. He even told me to send him pictures so that his advice would have been more on target. I returned the mistake to the store and purchased a hood the was more suitable for my 4 burner gas stove.

Definitely! proper gage/thickness & quality. To quantity quality means the galvanized coating-we use “G-60” & above as standard. G-40 or less is what they generally sell.
