The wealth of knowledge that Chuck provides for Meyer plow troubleshooting is amazing! I’ve referenced his site countless times, from his instruction videos to his clear write ups. SBS is the authority on Meyer plows and equipment. Thank you for providing this service….. if Meyer had half a brain they would recognize what they have here. Thanks again.

A few years ago my Meyer E-47 stopped working in the middle of a Northern New England blizzard. Out of desperation, I emailed Smith Brothers explaining what was going on. Incredibly I got a response just a short while later from Chuck, he had gone to great length in providing me with a detailed response that led me to the problem (a clogged filter). Anyone who takes the time to help out a customer in which he made no profit from, is worth his (road) salt. I highly recommend Smith Brothers if you are in need of Meyer plow parts or service, Chuck is an honest man who thoroughly knows his products!

Chuck is the best at troubleshooting snowplows. I live in Illinois and he has helped me through several Meyer issues over the years through email/chat. The man is a wealth of knowledge. Smith Brothers truly cares about the customer.

Ordered parts online and recieved them immediately. They have Extensive knowledge. I ordered an aftermarket part, it was out of stock and they sent me an oem part for no extra charge. Recieved the next day. Excellent service.

Just take the nut off, slide the Coil off, and install new one by sliding it on, and put the nut back on. Not too tight, just snug it.
Jim, It is $750 labor to install a mount and wiring. It is $350 to remove a mount and wiring. IF you mean you want to set up the second truck so it can SHARE the plow, then it would be $750 + the mount, clevis, and wiring.
Don't think it's the motor small solenoid on pump gets power to let cylinder down should be the one with black wire or you have too much oil in the pump motor doesn't run when letting plow down only when lifting it up or angling it will motor work
We have no rebuilt units for sale at this time. When we do, they will be in our online store. Just need to find time to rebuild the two dozen cores sitting here. Other work comes first. E-60 rebuilt units we typically sell for $950 when we have them.
