Ms.Kerry is not only the best counselor there but the most positively influential human I’ve ever had the honor to come across. She legit changes lives and my childrens, childrens, children will literally have better lives because of this woman. Apply that over all the years she’s done this and all the future generations that will benefit and you get the most amazing human being I’ve ever met. This isn’t dramatic, this is literal. I’m so incredibly grateful for this woman and really the whole cenikor staff and program. If you put in the work this place can change your life. Onward.

I cant believe the employees at this place , they were literally smoking weed pens in front of the front door while we were there. Also was told different things by different people and nothing was clear on getting service there. They said they are open 24/7 which is not true they had no nurses on a Saturday morning doesnt make any sense. Finally after getting my dad in , he wasnt given anything to do at home or after the process. Literally leaving he stopped to get beer. This place didn’t do anything for him. Waste of money and time! DO NOT GO HERE. For sure need new management!!!

Everyone here was fantastic. They were able to guide me though the detox process quite painlessly. Jeff, Lindsey, Suzan, Sara, kaylee all do not get paid enough to deal with us, but that’s why we love them. The community was very encouraging as well. I have a lot Ps I have to edit this a lot better. Keep looking at it.

If you have state funding you will NEVER GET A BED. They always have beds available for insurance and medicaid but never have beds available for state funded patients. THIS IS A FARSE !!

I know someone who got a bed in their detox program with state funding 5 days after the initial phone interview. They were able to transition into the 30 day inpatient program within the same facility after their detox was over.

I don’t have insurance but Medicaid, if it hasn’t, expired, but desperately need to detox with supervision. Any suggestions where I can find some help?

I’d say call to see if you can get state funding to get a bed for detox . Try bluebonnet trails or OSAR that’s how I got into detox with no financial means . It doesn’t have to be cenikor but calling a getting a case started with OSAR helps you know your options to detox. You can qualify for most places with Medicaid but call OSAR

I am looking for a program for my son. He will need medically supervised alcohol detox. He has no insurance and is seeking help, but currently in such bad shape he cannot follow through. Is this an appropriate place and what should we do next

Hi Brenda, yes we provide detox services. Please call 1-888-CENIKOR (236-4567) and a specialist will be able to assist you and your son with getting into treatment.

I have a CPS case and me and my wife are trying to get our kids back .Is there any way possible y'all can get me a bus voucher to Corpus Christi where we will be going to rehab together ?

Most treatment centers don't allow couples to go through treatment together at the same time. I reccomend NOT telling them you even know each other, if at all possible. If you do get in, make sure you play it off as if you just met each other for the first time.

How long is it when they first get in there before they can use the phone

Reggie Zeigler | Oct 16, 2019
Evan Sitton | Oct 15, 2020

For detox clients, no phone calls unless the counselor is present. For 30 day residential clients, you can use the phone on your first day during phone hours, usually around 8pm (earlier on Sundays).

How can I find out if my uncle is in there he is a veteran and possibly went in on a 30 day program

Reggie Zeigler | Oct 16, 2019
Evan Sitton | Oct 15, 2020

HIPPA, prevents employees from giving out ANY information about clients, it is illegal. Unless the client has filled out a Release of Information form for each person they want to be able to check in on them.

I dont have insurance and I'm looking to get help is there a way I can get financial Aid or something like that? If so is there a number I can call directly? Also I was wondering about your visitation, do you have to be on an approv. visiting list?

Krazy Kool | Oct 16, 2019
Martin Flores | Oct 16, 2019

They have government assistancefor those who qualify. For visiting you have to have someone related or aware you're visiting and approved that tlou can visit

My fiancé is in inpatient here and I wanna know how long he has to be there before I call of visit

Bambi Beauty | Oct 16, 2019
Nick Vache | Oct 16, 2019

Visitation for those in the residential program happens on Sundays at 2:30 and on the 1st visit there is a required family education from 1:30-2:30. While in detox our clients do not use the phone and while in residential the phones are open 8pm-9pm.

Can I get the direct number to the Howard Lane location? I’ve called the 800# repeatedly and no one answers.

Bex H | Oct 16, 2018

The number is 737-300--2961.

Benjamin Kinsey | Oct 16, 2018
Nick Vache | Oct 16, 2018

Yes if medically stable and have the appropriate medications.

How long is your program?

Freddie Nunez | Oct 16, 2018
Daniel Hatcher | Oct 16, 2018

There are detox and short-term residential programs with a maximum length of around 30 days. Supportive residential is offered on a case by case basis to clients really in need. Length of supportive residential varies depending on each individual client's needs.
